Privacy Policy

Overview

The Orthopedic Surgery Case Reports & Series Journal ("OSCRSJ", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our authors, reviewers, readers, and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you interact with our website at oscrsj.com and our associated services.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

Contact Information

Name, email address, institutional affiliation, and professional role — provided when you submit a manuscript, register for an account, subscribe to our mailing list, or contact us.

Submission Data

Manuscript files, cover letters, reviewer comments, and correspondence related to the peer review process.

Submission Studio Data

When you use Submission Studio (our free manuscript formatting tool and Journal Finder), we collect your email address, your target journal and article type, and your uploaded files. Uploaded manuscripts and generated outputs are deleted from our storage after 7 days. Providing an email address and agreeing to the Submission Studio Terms and Conditions are required to use the Studio. Marketing consent is separate and optional: there is a second tick box, unticked by default, and ticking it is the only thing that adds your address to the OSCRSJ mailing list. Ticking it means occasional email about the Studio (new journals, new features, and pricing when it arrives) and about the journal (new issues and calls for papers). We do not sell your address, every email has one-click unsubscribe, and leaving this box unticked does not affect your access to the Studio in any way. We record which version of the Terms you accepted and, separately, which version of the marketing wording you consented to, each with the time you did it. Formatting a manuscript here still gives OSCRSJ no claim over your work. If you complete the optional feedback survey that refills your free runs early, we also collect and store your survey answers alongside your email address.
